Hello Lovebugs!
So, today, I had the opportunity to chat with Second Shot Photography about this amazing engagement sessions. Check out interview below!
PBB: What was your inspiration for this engagement session?
I’ve been waiting to shoot at this location since I’ve moved to Houston. When I initially moved to Houston from Pensacola, Florida a lot of my work were beach weddings. As a result, I naturally gravitated out to the Galveston area as brides who were getting married out there could easily see themselves in my work. Galveston has many historical landmarks and with their New Orleans influence it’s very easy to fall in love with everything the Island has to offer.
PBB: What was the plan for the day ?
The railroad museum is utterly epic and the way it photographs is truly unique. So when Monica and Jothias contacted asking me to do a themed engagement session centered on travel I knew this would be the perfect location. We set out for Galveston on Martin Luther King Day and it was such a beautiful day filled with a cool breeze and partly cloudy sky. Afterwards we headed over to Kempner park in front of the lovely Garten Verein. We continued the travel theme with vintage tandem bikes that where the perfect compliment to the railroad theme. The love that Monica and Joe share for one another truly shined.
PBB: Tell us the magic between the couple. What was the best part of the day?
Their chemistry is one of the best connections that I’ve ever photographed. They truly have such kindred spirits and they were absolutely open to try anything.I truly loved that Monica and Joe entrusted me to execute my vision. They believed that I would be able to deliver something unique site unseen. When they arrive you could see Monica brimming with excitement. It was important that I delivered and show them exactly what I first saw in the location. What a lovely couple.
