“It’s not every day you witness a fairy tale play out in front of you but that’s what it felt like when I photographed Abigail and Benoit’s wedding in the French countryside. Cupid brought them together – well, OK Cupid – and it lead them to an epic wedding complete with a 15th century castle, hot air balloons and a fantastic fireworks display. My heart just soared watching the outpouring of love between this amazing couple and their loving families.From the get-to, it was a wonderful wedding for the senses – from the array of delicious cheeses, the notes of Claire de Lune playing on the harp, to the vintage touches complimenting the historical aura of the countryside. It was so easy to get swept up in the romance and simple beauty of this wedding. The bride and groom also shared a bit of their own musical background – he was a former band member to the Pacemakers; she’s a frequent singer at various churches in California. Together, as #MabulukFromage (or stinky cheese, in their respective languages) they performed their rendition of Moon River & Eternal Flame – making us all fall in love with them even more.”
